Community Solar Project Interconnect Agreement

This Interconnect Agreement ("Agreement") is made and entered into as of the ___ day of __________, 20__, by and between:

1. Definitions

1.1 "Interconnection Facilities" means all facilities and equipment required to interconnect the Project to the Utility's electric distribution system.

1.2 "Project" means the Community Solar installation described in this Agreement.

2. Scope and Purpose

The purpose of this Agreement is to set forth the terms and conditions under which the Project Owner will interconnect the Project to the Utility’s distribution system.

3. Interconnection Requirements

1. Project Owner shall ensure that all interconnection design, construction, operation, and maintenance comply with Utility requirements, regulations, and applicable standards.
2. All equipment must be certified and approved by the Utility prior to interconnection.
3. Utility shall have the right to inspect the Project prior to and after interconnection.

4. Operation and Maintenance

1. Project Owner shall at all times operate and maintain the Project in accordance with industry standards and applicable laws.
2. Utility shall be notified promptly in writing of any modifications or maintenance that may affect compliance with this Agreement.

5. Metering and Billing

1. Utility shall provide and maintain metering equipment required for billing and measurement of electricity delivered.
2. Billing and compensation for energy supplied to the grid shall be governed by applicable tariffs and regulations.

6. Liability and Insurance

1. Each Party shall be responsible for its own acts and omissions.
2. Project Owner shall maintain insurance coverage as required by the Utility.

7. Term and Termination

1. This Agreement shall remain in effect unless terminated by either Party with ___ days written notice.
2. Utility may immediately disconnect the Project in case of emergency or breach of terms.

8. Miscellaneous

1. This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the Parties and supersedes all prior agreements.
2. Amendments must be in writing and signed by both Parties.
3. This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of __________.
