Social Science Fieldwork Confidentiality Agreement

This Confidentiality Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between the undersigned fieldworker ("Fieldworker") and the research team or institution ("Institution") in relation to participation in fieldwork associated with social science research.

1. Confidential Information

The Fieldworker may have access to confidential information during the course of fieldwork, including but not limited to:

• Personal data of research participants
• Study materials and unpublished research data
• Private communications among team members

2. Obligations

1. The Fieldworker agrees not to disclose, discuss, or share any confidential information with any third party without prior written consent from the Institution.
2. The Fieldworker agrees to protect the privacy and identity of participants at all times.
3. All study materials and collected data will be stored securely and returned to the Institution upon completion of fieldwork.
4. The obligation to maintain confidentiality survives the completion or termination of fieldwork.

3. Exceptions

This Agreement does not apply to information that is publicly available or that the Fieldworker is legally required to disclose by law.

4. Acknowledgement

By signing below, the Fieldworker acknowledges understanding and agreement to the terms outlined above.
