1. Definition of Confidential Information

For the purpose of this Agreement, "Confidential Information" means all information and materials, whether oral, written, or otherwise recorded or disclosed, related to the research project(s), subjects, data, processes, results, and any other academic activities undertaken or accessed by the Research Assistant during the term of their assignment.

2. Obligations of Confidentiality

The Research Assistant agrees to keep all Confidential Information strictly confidential and not to disclose, discuss, or otherwise make available such information to any third parties, except as expressly authorized by the Principal Investigator or required by law.

3. Use of Confidential Information

The Research Assistant agrees to use the Confidential Information solely for the purpose of assisting with the research project(s) and academic activities as directed by the Principal Investigator.

4. Return or Destruction of Information

Upon completion of the research assignment or upon request, the Research Assistant shall promptly return or destroy all Confidential Information and any materials derived from such information.

5. Duration of Obligation

The obligation to maintain confidentiality shall continue both during and after the period of involvement with the research project(s).

6. General Provisions

This Agreement does not grant any rights or licenses to the Research Assistant in or to the Confidential Information. Breach of this Agreement may result in disciplinary and/or legal actions as determined by the institution.
