Purpose

Player Expectations

• Show respect to coaches, teammates, opponents, officials, and spectators at all times.
• Exhibit good sportsmanship and maintain self-control on and off the court.
• Attend all practices, games, and meetings unless excused by the coach.
• Refrain from the use of inappropriate language, gestures, or actions.
• Abide by all school and athletic department rules and policies.
• Take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
• Promote a positive team environment and offer encouragement to teammates.
• Demonstrate responsibility regarding academic obligations.

Consequences for Violations

• Warnings and reminders
• Loss of playing time
• Suspension from practices or games
• Dismissal from the team
